Frequently asked questions

Webcasting & Virtual Meetings

What happens when the Internet at our venue is slow, are you still able to Live Stream?

We would come to your site in advance of the event and do a test. We have a wireless device locked to a fixed IP address which works independently of the venues internet. A extra fee applies for the data that is used.

Our organization has a large following on Facebook. We have been streaming from a phone, but wish to improve the quality. Can you help?

We have a system that allows us to stream to Facebook in 16x9 using a broadcast quality camera that works with our facebook live stream setup . The video will play in 16x9 format, and would be in full HD. The audio would be a vast improvement as it would be fed directly from our sound board and microphones.

Can you add our logo and branding to a Zoom Meeting?

If we come to your site and film we can easily add your logo and branding to a Zoom Meeting or Webinar. You can have a simple logo floating in the corner of our video, or we can include titles, graphics, branding and even picture in picture with PowerPoint. Video samples of our work are available by request. Learn More

Are you able to set up a picture in picture with the presenter beside the slides in Zoom?

We can easily do a custom layout of our camera feed into Zoom, we add PowerPoint and place your logo in the top corner of the video as a watermark. Please look at our Virtual Meetings page to learn more.

What kind of internet connection do I need in order to livestream from my venue?

We need to be connected to Wired Ethernet that has upload speed of at least 10Mbps. We will do a site visit and network test at your location in advance to make sure your broadband connection is fast enough. We can run long cables if the connection isn’t close by.

We require professional live streaming capabilities for a live press conference and wish to use our office as a studio, is this something you could help us with?

We provide a complete service to broadcast your press conference online. We bring all the equipment necessary to your location or a rented meeting space and can set up, audio, video, and a pipe & drape backdrop with lighting. Press media can attend in-person or via webcast and ask questions over phone lines or webinar. Panelists can present either in the room or via the web. Learn more

We would like to have a webinar for our membership and have non-members watch online. Is this a service that you offer?

Yes, this is a popular service we offer. We can ‘live edit’ your webinar, add your logo, titles, slides and graphics. This enhanced video matches your branding and gets sent out via webcast to YouTube, Facebook, or any of the streaming services with a professional look. We have video samples of previous work available.

Should our venue be cancelled due to a COVID-19 concerns, is it possible to switch to a 100% virtual meeting with our speakers presenting from their own computers?

Yes, we can run the meeting from our production studio. We typically have our technician load the slides for the presenters just like we would at an in-person event and send each presenter a virtual remote to forward the slides. We can also include your logo, branding and live titles to maximize production values.

General Audio Visual Questions

Is there a limit to the number of viewers that can watch the livestream?

There is no limit for the number of viewers who can watch the broadcast. However, if you do believe that you will have a large event with a high number of viewers, please let us know.

How much notice or lead time is required for booking YES AudioVisual services?

Most clients plan their events weeks to months in advance. The sooner you contact YES AudioVisual, the more time we have to take steps to execute your project successfully. Don’t underestimate the number of people that may be looking for an excellent AV service provider. Book your spot as soon as you can.

We have a presenter that can't make it to our conference.  Can they connect remotely via Skype or Zoom, or a similar type of service?

Yes! We do this all the time (often with very little notice). Best to put us in touch with the presenter in advance, and we will schedule a test call. We have also used Skype for client interviews with Global and CBC. When you connect a broadcast camera and sound board to Skype, the quality is amazing!

Do we have to use the in-house Audio Visual Provider at the venue we are using?

Typically you do not need to use the in-house AV company. Over the years we have worked in most of the hotels and conference venues around Metro Vancouver. Please call for more information.

We need to show a computer presentation to a very large group.  We are expecting close to 300 people.  Do you rent large screens and projectors?

Yes, we have large screens and high lumen projectors that would be suitable for the 300 people you have attending. We would recommend two screens and two projectors and would be happy to send you a quote for everything you need. We need to know what venue you are using, and what the room seating arrangements are. We will size the screens appropriately for the room you are using. Please give us a call.

We are doing a series of events across Western Canada.  Are you able to support events in multiple cities?

We have done events all over the province, Vancouver Island, Whistler, Kelowna, Kamloops, Merritt, Prince George. We have also worked in Edmonton, Calgary and Banff. Our main service areas are Burnaby, Coquitlam, Delta, Ladner, Langley, Maple Ridge, New Westminster, North and South Delta, North Vancouver, Port Coquitlam, Port Moody, Richmond, Steveston, Surrey, Tsawwassen, Vancouver, Shaughnessy, West Vancouver, and White Rock.
